Well, I've finished Vicious, and I must say, that was certainly a ride. I'll talk more about my thoughts, but it discusses important parts of the plot, so under the cut it goes. I also discovered something quite interesting-- my print copy has a slew of duplicate pages. I'm not sure if I should remove them, or keep them there and add the book to my mutant books collection; I'll have to see. Regardless, I might re-read Good Omens. As much as I love the sharp style of Vicious and the other things I've been reading lately, something more comic would nice.

I have to admit, I'm ambivalent about Serena's death. She was an interesting character; I would have liked to see her live on for more development. And, referring to her as a siren right after her throat is cut and before her body is burned brings up conflicting feelings. It doesn't sit well, regardless of how immoral she was with using her powers. Though, I have the feeling that's the point-- morality is a central part of the series.

Addendum: I'm almost certain that Victor planned to die, at least near the end.

just popping in to agree very strongly with your addendum! yeah, Victor didn't have a plan other than "idk, die i guess?"
